Held on the frontlines of healthcare at UCSF-a national leader in health tech innovation-this event brings together designers, health care providers, researchers and innovators to explore the development of transformative solutions. The conference, co-hosted by IDSA and UCSF’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, provides the opportunity to learn firsthand about such models and create new collaborations. Tackling this challenge will require new models of collaboration across the design and healthcare fields. Significant challenges face both the design and medical fields as they work to address needed improvements in healthcare value. Improving quality of care while lowering costs seems contradictory and to date has been unattainable.
